Count István Koháry (Csábrág,[1] 1649 – 1731), the poet, politician and general was a member of the Hungarian Koháry family.
István Koháry became the first count in his family. He fought against the Ottoman Empire and the Kuruc. He wrote his best refined poems during his Kuruc captivity. He received the rank of count by the Habsburgs.
